Fundamentals & Advanced

Course Overview – You’ll learn correct techniques and progress right through to teaching advanced combinations as part of high intensity fitness drills, all in a packed two days of boxing for fitness training.

Day One is all about mastering the basics; an essential part of the course that will give you the knowledge and understanding to teach correct technique, combinations and drills, before progressing onto Day Two. Here you’ll learn more advanced boxing-specific skills including defence moves, advanced techniques and combinations, to improve your teaching and take your boxing for fitness sessions to the next level.

You’ll also learn targeted muscle group workouts and high intensity cardio exercises to incorporate alongside boxing combinations, as well as exercise modifications to enable you to tailor your sessions to suit your clients and/or class participants. 

Who is it for – This practical two-day course is designed for anyone who wants to improve their boxing for fitness knowledge as part of one-to-one or group training sessions

What the course will teach you

Day 1

  • Teach correct punching and pad holding techniques
  • Teach punching combinations
  • Teach boxing-based speed and power drills
  • Conduct safe boxing for fitness classes for all fitness levels
  • Identify incorrect form and advise accordingly

Day 2

  • Structure and deliver boxing for fitness sessions for more advanced abilities
  • Teach advanced punching combinations and pad holding techniques
  • Teach defence moves including the slip and duck and weave
  • Incorporate advanced exercise drills into your sessions

Mode Of Study – LIVE and ONLINE

Duration – LIVE – 2 days (usually weekends) ONLINE – No time limit

Assessment – On the day practical assessment alongside the Master Trainers

Pad Work for PTs

Course Overview – Hatton Boxing is proud to present a brand-new, live training course offering for fitness professionals, personal trainers and boxing coaches looking to add 1-2-1 pad-holding skills to their offering.

In one day, you’ll learn how teach credible, authentic boxing techniques to your clients and have them build combinations while safely and effectively catching punches to a professional standard!

You’ll also receive guidance on how to add boxing specific exercise drills to your sessions, so that your clients can truly feel & train like champions.

On completion, you’ll receive an accredited certification allowing you to safely practice the skills you’ve learned with your clients, adding a new revenue stream to your fitness business!

Who is it for – GREAT FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO TEACH ONE TO ONE OR UPDATE THEIR PAD SKILLS

Elite

The Hatton Academy boxing for fitness Elite course is the final level of Hatton Academy’s boxing training system.

Our Elite course revisits the techniques from the Fundamentals and Advanced courses, building the complexity to provide the trainer with a wider technical ability, as well as a greater library of techniques to use with 1-to-1 clients.

Who is it for – For those who have completed the initial training and wish to enhance and test their skill set.

What the course will teach you

  • Instruct and demonstrate defensive techniques
  • Incorporate defensive techniques into advanced combinations
  • Build cycle set and perpetual motion combinations
  • Identify incorrect techniques and correct accordingly
  • Teach correct technique and reduce the risk of injury

Mode Of Study – LIVE and ONLINE

Duration – LIVE – 1 day (usually weekends) ONLINE – No time limit

Assessment – LIVE – On the day practical assessment alongside the Master Trainers. ONLINE – Theory Quiz & Video Uploads for Master Trainer assessment and feedback.

Prerequisite requirements – Successful completion of either F&A or Pad Work for PTs course Live or Online.

Hatton Boxing’s globally-recognised courses are now available in an online format – meaning you can now become a Certified Instructor while negating the need to travel and take time out of your busy schedule, yet still retain the all-important one-to-one feedback provided by our Master Trainers.

Having trained over 10,000 instructors since launching our practical courses in 2006, we have now fully integrated both the practical and theory-based elements of our courses into an effective, easy-to-use online platform.

You will be able to work through our educational videos and content at your own pace, take your online assessments and upload your final videos as and when you feel comfortable, meaning your learning is tailored to your schedule.

Hatton Boxing Fitness System

Having completed and practiced the skills learnt on our Pad Work for PTs course you may now wonder how it works when teaching boxing for fitness in groups. It may also be that you studied with us some time ago on a F&A course and require a refresh of our fitness system. Well, this is designed for you!

This short course guides you on how to use what you have learned with us and put it into a deliverable class with the methodology to work both aerobic and anaerobic fitness systems using functional bodyweight exercises to add variety and progression.
