Certified Instructor Spotlight: Emma Matlock

Sometimes we love to shine a spotlight on a Hatton Certified Instructor who has been able to take their business to the next level with the skills they have learned on our course.

This time, it’s the turn of Emma Matlock, who completed our fully accredited Fundamentals & Advanced course in December 2022.

“Our gym has been screaming out for a pad-work class for ages,” said Emma.

“The Hatton Course teaches a perfect a balance of fitness and technique-focussed boxing, and during our first week of launching Hatton programming we had 16 attendees!”

As well as being a popular class among both men and women at Emma’s gym, she has also seen a sharp increase in her 1-2-1 boxing sessions, where she can focus more on things like footwork, stance and technique:

“The most important thing I learned on the course was the technique involved for the pad-holder, how they lead the session and get the most out of their clients.”

And her learning hasn’t finished there! 

“I’m very much looking forward to the Elite course this July, and I’m also booking on to the Hatton Boxing for Juniors course so that I can run children’s sessions over the summer holidays,” said Emma.
